Features
Loud 85db alarm
Powered by one 9V battery (not included)
When the green LED flashes every 30 seconds, this situation means power on.
When the red LED flashes accompanying with 4 audible alarms approximately every five seconds, this situation means alarm for potential carbon monoxide leaked. When the red LED flashes accompanying with 3 audible alarms approximately every four seconds, this situation means alarm for potential smoke leaked.
A beep or chirp occurring simultaneously with a red LED flashing every 60 seconds indicates a low battery situation.
Pay attention
When you connect the battery to the detector each time, the green light will be flashing for about 5 minutes to warm-up. The test button is not working during this time. After about 5 minutes the green light will stop flashing, then you can press the test button and the unit will sound loudly.
Do not stand close to the detector when the alarm is sounding. The alarm is loud in order to wake you in an emergency. Too much exposure to the horn at close range may be harmful to your hearing.
The Review:
The Mudder alarm comes in a nice looking box with a slip cover over a brown box and inside you’ll find the alarm wrapped in plastic for protection. Included with the alarm is the user manual along with mounting hardware in a small zip style plastic bag.
On the front of the detector is a large button in the center for testing and turn it off when the alarm does sound. There are also two LEDs, one red and one green along with what I’m guessing is the speaker of the sensor, it looks like a speaker to me but I could be wrong.
The alarm comes apart in two section, the bottom section is a thing ring to mount the alarm to your wall. You mount the ring and then twist and lock the alarm onto it.
On the bottom is the battery compartment, you’ll need a 9v battery to power the alarm.
The alarm is very loud, more than loud enough to wake you up if you’re sleeping when something happens.
Thankfully nothing has happened to set the alarm off, but I did test it by burning some paper near it and it did go off so I would have to say it works.
Other than that there’s not much else to say really.
I do like the fact that it’s a combination product, buying this is much cheaper than buying a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector separately.
Pros:
+Well made
+Inexpensive compared to buying both separately
+Loud
Cons:
-None that I could find
