Threatened with Violence for Not Saying ‘Thank You’ Loud Enough

I hate going out and dealing with people anymore, most everyone I meet is rude and ignorant and just doesn’t care about anyone but themselves and they feel entitled to just whatever and everything.

I went to Dollar Tree the other day to pick up a few things and I use a cane to walk, it sucks, but I have to and this guy held the door open for me and I said thanks, didn’t yell it or anything but apparently it wasn’t loud enough for him.

He followed me into the store and got behind when I was getting a cart and he was mumbling about how I was rude and how I could have at least said thank you to him for holding the door open for me. I did say thanks, guess he didn’t hear me, guess it wasn’t loud enough. Not sure what exactly he wanted from me, to yell it out so everyone heard that he was this wonderful person for holding the door open for me?!

I said ‘excuse me, but I did say thank you, I guess you didn’t hear me say it, and I’m sorry it wasn’t loud enough for you’

He proceeds to threaten to punch me in the head because I was being rude to him and that I should have said it louder so he heard it.

Since when do people have to be praised loudly for doing something decent for a fellow human being?

What kind of society have we become that I’m going to get threatened with physical violence for not saying thank you loud enough?

I hate going out, I hate people more and more everyday…..

I Hate People

Some say that ‘hate’ is a strong word, but that’s how I feel really. I was told by someone I know that I’m a misanthrope and the dictionary says that is: “a person who dislikes humankind and avoids human society” and yeah that’s me for sure. I wasn’t always like that but I’ve been fucked over so many times by people I trusted and thought were friends that I’m just done.

Netflix Recommendation Algorithm Gone Awry

So I was checking out the new stuff on Netflix and noticed something a bit odd or off with the Netflix recommendation algorithm.. They have those ‘because you watched’ sections with things that are supposed to be related to what you watched and you might enjoy as they are similar.. Well I came across these rather odd ones that just don’t look right to me…

So because I watched The Exorcism of Molly Hartley Netflix thinks I might like these:

Because I watched Uncommon Valor… the Penguins move I might see as being related, but the others?

Because I watched The Relic… Book was much better, but movie was ok, but I don’t think Chicken Little could be called a horror movie or have anything in common with The Relic?!

Yes I watched Little Dead Rotting Hood, it was meh, I was bored and looking fro something different… but somehow I don’t think Tarzan, Nutjob and The Little Prince are related at all to Little Dead Rotting hood…

Hmmm… something just might be broke over at Netflix, it could be me, but I don’t know, these recommendations just seem a little off to me…

YouTube Says microUSB Cables are Inappropriate and Offensive Now

So I recently did a 58 second long video of me unpacking a pack of three microUSB cables and YouTube flagged it as inappropriate and offensive content and put a strike on my account for it.

Really?  What is offensive about microUSB cables? Someone please tell me!

YouTube of course won’t answer me as to what is offensive or inappropriate about microUSB cables.

In the video all I said was the name, price, where you can get them, and I showed the cables but somehow it was offensive. I don’t understand and I don’t know why they won’t tell me what the reasoning is here?!

All my videos are really the same I unbox and sometimes do video reviews but now all of the sudden an unboxing or unpacking is offensive to the powers that be at YouTube.

it makes no sense to me.

Trouble Seems to Find Me

Apple products suck in my opinion, I hate them and now I have yet another reason to hate them even more.

I keep to myself, I mind my own business, I work from home, not making much money at it, but I’m home mostly all the time, I really don’t go out much but yet trouble just finds me for some reason. Karma, fate, bad luck, whatever it is, it seems I’ve got a dark cloud hovering over me. I try to be a good person, yes I’m miserable most of the time, but I try to be honest and help those when I can and I try not to bother anyone.

About two months ago the police came to my house saying they had reports of an old elderly woman crying for help in my house. I’m 42 and I’m oldest person here so I don’t understand that at all. I don’t get where that came from, and of course they’re not going to tell you who made the complaint. All he could tell me was that it was a 911 call about someone hearing an elderly woman crying for help in my house. Really?!

Now on Monday this guy and his two friends come to my house, knock on my door and he accuses me a stealing his iPhone?! I don’t know who the hell this guy is, never seen him before.

The thing that bothers me about this is that they came straight my house. I have security cameras outside and I saw these three people coming across the street and then they started coming up my steps. They parked and came straight to my house first. Why?

He asks me was I at Target today as his iPhone was stolen from the bathroom at Target. No I wasn’t, I wasn’t anywhere near Target, in fact I can’t remember the last time I was at Target, it’s got to be more than six months at least.

Anyway the guy proceeds to show me on his MacBook the GPS tracking for the iPhone which looks to me like it’s in the middle of the street. He goes on to say that the tracking is accurate within 20 feet so it has to be here but the problem there is that my house is about 80-100 feet away from the GPS mark. According to his little GPS mark it was actually in front of the house to the right of mine, directly in front actually, but yet he came straight to my house.

The next problem is that there is a cross street right there at my house, or one house over actually and he says that’s so and so street name right there and your house is here so it has to be here but no that’s not what that street is called, the street he named is one block over actually. Apparently he can’t read street signs either. So actually it wasn’t in front of my house, or the house next door, it was one block over. Again, why did he come straight to my house?

He didn’t even really let me look at the screen either, he just held it up and pointed to the mark and then turned the laptop away from me and then went on about the whole 20 feet thing and the wrong street name.

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I don’t like it at all.

It seems to me that iPhone GPS tracking isn’t the greatest and I don’t appreciate being falsely accused for something like this.

The other thing that bothers me is this guy was actually knocking on doors accusing people of stealing his phone. Not what I would call the safest thing to do really.

Could it have been a scam to try and get into people houses? I sure as hell wasn’t letting him and his friends into my home, who knows what could happen these days?!

I don’t know but this just gives me yet another reason to hate Apple products…
